まるつけ Marutsuke
Copy a passage, get it marked like a teacher’s red pen
まるつけ helps children practice writing Japanese by copying — 視写, the way Japanese schools teach it. Your child copies a short passage into a 原稿用紙-style grid on iPad, and the app checks every character like a teacher’s red pen. Made for grades 1–3, especially kids at a Saturday Japanese school (補習校) or learning at home outside Japan.

What’s inside
A red pen that knows handwriting
Tap できた! and each square gets a red ○ or a gentle × with a hint: stroke order and direction, missing or extra strokes, small っ and ゃ, dakuten, and where 。 and 、 sit in the square.
Forgiving by design
Checking runs on the iPad itself, and when it isn’t sure it gives the ○ — a wrong red mark discourages a young writer more than a missed mistake.
Fix only what needs fixing
After the check, only the × squares open again. Tap a × to see what to look at, write it again, and earn a 花丸.
Written for their grade
Every passage uses only kanji from that grade’s list — seasons, folk tales like かさじぞう, letters to grandparents, diary entries — on one screen with big squares for small hands.
See how to write it
Tap a × and the character draws itself with stroke numbers, the stroke that went wrong picked out, and a square to trace it in.
Listen, then read it yourself
Hear the passage read aloud with each sentence lighting up (よむ). After the 花丸, record your child reading the page (おんどく) — no score, just their voice.
A path with Minato
Passages are laid out as a learning path. Minato writes along and celebrates every 花丸, and each new 花丸 adds a seasonal sticker to the sticker book.
For parents
